AGM Report – Des & Donna Sutton Runs Coordinator 2024
Des & I have enjoyed the challenges of organising 2023/24 monthly runs. We take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support in following us throughout the year down rivers & up hills & some dirt roads on the way. Just to keep the old girls going! So to speak (sorry girls).
2023/24 was a year of full-on driving for our historical vehicles. The club has been very lucky to be active & able to drive their historical vehicles around the district & beyond to support local towns in the district & to check out their history sites. It always surprises me what is on our doorstep – and how open people are to invite us to share their stories & a shady tree to enjoy morning tea and/or lunch. That is why Des & I find this job so special. You get to meet new people & new places.
Here is a timeline of the past 12 months:-
2023/2024 Year
August 23 – Moorelands Nursery what a fantastic place to visit. Always a special day so close to Roma
September 23 – Back to Bush Festival Miles. What a fantastic event to support & display our precious vehicles. Some members stayed at Possum Park, while others stayed in Miles.
October 23 – Mount Abundance Homestead Morning Tea & history chat.
What a fantastic garden & history talk with Darlene Johnson.
