Secretary/Newsletter Officer/Co-Rally Coordinator Report - for AGM 20th October 2024
Jason Sullivan
Good afternoon, Club Members, I have now been the secretary and newsletter creator for the last two years and have enjoyed the creativity and innovation I have been able to provide to this small but growing club. As the secretary I have attended most of the meetings, capturing the conversations and general business of the club. I also had the privilege of keeping our President on track during the meetings and being able to contribute to the club. As you can see this year, I have only provided a general report to deliver to members and have decided not to scare off the next secretary by quoting the number of words that go into every minutes or newsletter.
Over the last year, I have continued to develop the newsletter and capture the essence of the club. During this time, I have received favourable feedback on the publication from members on the information, stories, and events captured during the year. This feedback has always fuelled my passion for the next months issue and capturing the funny moments and stories from past meetings will always hold a special place for me.
I also put my hand up to share the Rally Co-Ordinator position with Ken, I role where I could utilize my talents and provide support to these ever-growing events. This event, run in conjunction with the Cobb & Co festival, was a special task as I do have passion for Australian History. I encourage the group to nominate for roles in any future events as I found this Rally very rewarding.
As most of you would know, I have taken a work transfer from Roma and am now working in Bundaberg and therefore have had to resign from the role this year. I wish the next incoming committee all the best and another very successful year growing. I thank the current committee for their efforts and comradery, the members that have played a part in our meetings, social runs, and events. I would also like to extend a special shout out to Karen for all her hard work she puts in managing the Club and the emails!!!
In parting one of the moments, I think I will enjoy from the last year is the Steam train departing from Yuleba behind a sea of Members and visitors’ historical vehicles during the Cobb & Co Festival.
Thankyou Jason.
