2025
Friday 14th - 18th January: Club Run to the Family Drive In Movie - at Roma at Bassett Park on Friday, 17 Jan at 6pm. No cost for entry. Food trucks onsite for delicious dinner options. And at Surat, Injune, Mitchell and Wallumbilla on the dates on the flyer.
Saturday 26th January: All areas and chapters – we have minuted Australia Day as a club run for you to display your vehicle at your local events. Please also see below other displays and external events on our calendar for the Australia Day weekend.
Saturday 1st February: The first Saturday of each month is a designated club run for all areas and chapters.

Intended future woolshed attraction for Roma - The Woolshed
The Woolshed is located approx. 8 Kms from the Big Rig Roma to Woodside Road. At this site you will find the passionate sheep & wool industry dedication by Rowan & Jenny Whip.
The 120 year old Woolshed was purchased & relocated to Roma. It was moved in sections & is now fully back together on the Whip’s block on the edge of Roma. There is sheep/wool history displays & information on this industry now furnish this shed including shed memorabilia that has been collected over the years.
Please note: Jenny has kindly offered to have her urn running and have tea & coffee supplied.
Please bring your morning tea eats, chairs, mugs, hat, sunscreen, insect repellant if needed
Sunday 2nd February: Blackall and Charleville have their social run on 1st Sunday in lieu of 1st Saturday.

Charleville Chapter - Mark Scott - Assisted by Luke Paynter - Currently Runs are scheduled for the 1st Sunday of each month, departing from the Railway Station at 9.30 am. (Charleville Chapter is the process of re-organising their social runs. Please contact Mark Scott. His number has been sent to all Charleville members.)

- Arrive at the Big Rig 8.00am Depart by 8.15am
- Travel over bridge to enter into McDowall Street
- Travel along McDowall Street through traffic lights
- At roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Queen Street
- Travel Dargal Road for 4 kms
- Turn left onto Richardson Lane
- Turn right onto Woodside Road
- Woolshed is located 300 metres on your left – Green shearing shed
- Arrive approximately 8.45am
- Tour & history of shed by Rowan & Jenny Whip
- Morning tea approximately 10am
- Depart 10.30 to 11am
- Leave to travel back to Roma at your leisure.

"IMPROMPTU RUN" GUIDELINES FOR ROMA HISTORICAL MOTOR CLUB INC. MEMBERS
Club members may post an “impromptu run” to the Roma Historical Motor Club Facebook group, email the club ([email protected]), phone the President (0429 442 286) or Secretary (0417 197 871) or message the Roma Historical Motor Club Inc. Facebook page or the Blackall Chapter or Charleville Chapter's Facebook pages to set an “impromptu” run. This notice for an "impromptu run" must be given to the club at least 48 hours before. Other members will be advised as soon as possible the details of the run, via email, Facebook and the Club Events section on the club website, and where there is time, it will be published in the newsletter. Please note these runs should be genuine runs…not an excuse to use your vehicle for everyday use purposes. Club members are also encouraged to support club events in the first instance.

Saturday 25th January: Community Meet and Greet: 9 am to 1 pm – Lions Club and Council are organising this at the Roma Cultural Centre. Interested clubs have been asked along to promote their activities. Ken and I were going to attend but are now spending another week in Brisbane, so Sarah will attend our behalf to promote our club and some other groups that Ken and I belong to….if you are free during this time, please go along to support Sarah and talk to prospective members for our club.
Saturday 25th January: Display at Mucka Pub: 11 am to 1 pm - Please support this display if you can. It was originally going to be in the afternoon, but it has been changed to a lunch time event. Please note Mark Worland will oversee this display.
Sunday 2nd March: Display for Roma Showground Markets. Please be in place by 7.50 am and the display will finish at 12 noon.
Saturday 19th April:
Participation in Easter in the Country Parade - Meet at 8 am in Alfred Street to take part in the parade at 9 am
Display at the Anglican Church grounds after parade. Approximately 9.30 am onwards

I am not sure where they will be departing from but if you know Rusell Grulke you can contact him. I will place on our website for those on SIVS.
